Sherry Wang

Sherry Wang is a graphic designer. She is inspired by individual histories and the world that surrounds her practise. As a designer born in China and raised in Australia, she uses her understanding of Eastern and Western aesthetics to design works. She likes to learn about history and loves to travel all over the world, especially Europe. To explore the history and aesthetics of each country and integrate them into her works, gives each work different characteristics. This curiosity and desire for something more has taken her around the world and driven her to pursue her own design practice.
Unite (publication design) explored how typography still emphasises each cultural identity in this diverse society. It used circles with different colours, combined with my layout, to interpret my keywords and themes of cultural identity and cultural juxtaposition. Power bike (Branding design) The notion of how design can influence people’s daily behaviours, thoughts and actions on the social and environmental issues around us today is emphasised. Reflective mirror (web design): by bringing forth personal connections through evocative visuals, this design aims to transcend the traditional boundaries between man and nature.
