Hannah Bailey

Hannah is a designer, serial font collector and visual communicator with a passion for UX/UI, publication design, and creating memorable visual identities. She has received merits for two of her recent projects in the 2021 Australian Graphic Design Association awards.
This project was an exploration of what I define as ‘my backyard’ and how it can be re-presented using Indigenous storywork principles. My chosen subject’ was the nature reserve near my home, where I used a variety of research methodologies to delve deeper into the Indigenous principle of responsibility and how it manifests within this area. This project was created in response to a brief provided by the Sydney Symphony Orchestra to create a promotional video for their 50 Fanfares Project. The SSO has also undergone a brand refresh which is reflected in the video. As part of the brief, I created an animated version of their new logo and endscreen. The brief for this project was to create an app that focuses on the 'unseen' or hidden aspects of Sydney using a phone. My approach was to design an app that would allow artists to uncover unique locations around Sydney that they could then draw and upload to the app for others to see, encouraging creativity and curiosity.
