Alex Shute

Alex Shute is ‬a versatile graphic designer‭, ‬illustrator‭, ‬and photographer‭, ‬passionate about creating thoughtful design solutions for positive causes‭.‬ As a BA of Design in Visual Communication graduate from UTS and an experienced freelancer, she is excited by innovation, collaboration, and‭ ‬communicating brand identity in a beautiful way‭.
Kern Me If You Can is an investigative document presenting the paradox between true crime and typography‭.‬ The publication depicts the twisted psychology behind killers and their calling cards while analysing the biometrics of handwriting‭, ‬presented with the recreation of real notes from detectives' archives‭.‬ The Tuck Shop Ice-Creamery takes customers on a time warp back to the 1990s and 2000s to enjoy Australia’s most nostalgic treats - in ice-cream form. Through energetic, androgynous characters, the brand is seen as a vibrant, fun-loving store for all to enjoy. In collaboration with E.Chiba, M.Nguyen, W.Trinh, and H.Yuk, this targeted advertisement campaign was designed to mobilise law student volunteers for Northern Rivers Community Legal Centre. The goal was to capture the workplace values of care, compassion, and connection with individual clients through unique character design and the integration of real life case studies.
